Suctioning is only performed when it is clinically necessary due to the risks of hypoxia or collapsing lungs and infection.

Salamati Healthcare provides you with a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals from reputable doctors to experienced nurses and physiotherapists trained and equipped with the medical expertise to provide care to your loved one. So, if you need tracheostomy care at home just give us a call and our case managers will organize a home visit at your convenient time.

What is Tracheostomy?

Tracheostomy refers to the surgical procedure to create this opening in the neck, which allows a tracheostomy tube to keep air flowing into the windpipe (trachea).

Why is it important to receive care for patients with a tracheostomy?

Patients with tracheostomy have many health risks including infection, respiratory distress, ineffective breathing patterns, and risk of blockage of tubes due to secretions. Salamati team will help the patient to suction, change and clean the tracheostomy tube, prevent infections by aseptic wound cleaning and attend to emergencies and monitor the vitals of the patient.

How do you perform home suction?

Our respiratory team will get all the equipment needed and perform the suction in the comfort of your home. That equipment Includes a suction catheter, a suction machine, and personal protective equipment as well as a wound kit for wound management.

How do you know when you need oxygen at home?
